Caching-enabled Device-to-Device Communications for Video Transmission
The CS/NetSys Seminar Series is proud to present Andreas Molisch, Professor, USC. This talk will give an overview of the video transmission method that is based on caching video files on user devices, and then distributing them on demand via spectrally efficient device-to-device (D2D) communications over short distances, and describe recent work concentrated on information-theoretic scaling laws, analysis of popularity distribution based on large sets of measured data, and the tradeoff of energy efficiency and battery lifetime with network throughput.
