Be Relentless: UCI Screening Event to Inspire with Story and Scientists

Interested in learning about the latest research behind spinal cord injury? 

Join UCI BioSci Dean LaFerla and Marty O'Connor, featured in Relentless along side a panel of top researchers from the Reeve-Irvine Research Center, University of California, Sue and Bill Gross Stem Cell Research Center and UCI School of Medicine for a special film screening and discussion about the latest advances in spinal cord injury research.

Film screening at 6:30 PM, followed by speaker discussions with the audience. A light reception will be served after the film screening and discussions. Audience guests will have the opportunity to meet the speakers.

About Relentless: A new film documentary, recently featured at Sundance, that explores the power all of us have to be relentless. The comeback story of  Marty O'Connor, a young Orange County extreme-sports athlete who seemingly lost everything after a freak accident turned him quadriplegic. Through his relentless pursuit of self-improvement, Marty O'Connor learns how to embrace his challenges and forge a new sense of self.
