New center fosters writing, translation and criticism on a global scale

A diverse student population – coupled with the School of Humanities' nationally ranked creative writing, languages and comparative literature programs – makes UCI the ideal place to start the unique International Center for Writing and Translation. The center supports writers, translators and critics from around the world through short residencies and by bringing them together for readings, performances, lectures and international conferences. ZEVNET electric car program offers intelligent transportation solutions

Researchers at UCI are using a fleet of electric cars and tracking devices in a pilot program that offers practical solutions for frustrated commuters.

UCI dance and digital performance ensemble creates state-of-the-art concert

In a debut concert, a group of UCI dancers, musicians and video artists performed simultaneously with counterparts at New York University. The live performance, titled "Songs of Sorrow, Songs of Hope," commemorated the September 11 tragedy. State-of-the-art technology enabled each venue to receive sound and video in real time.
