A diverse student population – coupled with the School of Humanities' nationally ranked creative writing, languages and comparative literature programs – makes UCI the ideal place to start the unique International Center for Writing and Translation. UCI dance and digital performance ensemble creates state-of-the-art concert

In a debut concert, a group of UCI dancers, musicians and video artists performed simultaneously with counterparts at New York University. The live performance, titled "Songs of Sorrow, Songs of Hope," commemorated the September 11 tragedy. State-of-the-art technology enabled each venue to receive sound and video in real time.
