USING THE ANTEATER OR UC IRVINE SEAL Adding one of these elements to UC Irvine nameplates For certain applications, campus units may wish to add an element of fun (Anteater) or formality (UC Irvine campus seal) to a nameplate logo treatment. The Anteater may work for student applications, for example, and the seal for professional programs. The Anteater does not work with horizontal nameplate logo treatments, however. The UC Irvine seal includes the word “Irvine” at the bottom and is the only seal appropriate for use with the graphic identity standards. It differs from the UC seal, which includes the founding date of the University of California, “1868,” at the bottom. Use of the UC seal requires advance approval from the Chancellor’s Office; call 949-824-5112 for assistance. Both the Anteater and UC Irvine seal may also be used independent of logo treatments. For additional information or guidance, call 949-824-6922 or e-mail graphicservices@uci.edu. |
