UCI, Irvine city officials to give briefing on fatal domestic dispute
Student support personnel to outline counseling services available
| Event: | Officials will update the investigation of a shooting that occurred in Verano Place housing at UC Irvine on Sunday, Sept. 13, at 7:17 p.m., apparently the result of a domestic dispute. Counseling services for residents of the campus apartment complex also will be outlined.

| Highlight(s): | The shooting Sunday, Sept. 13, at 7:17 p.m. apparently was the result of a domestic dispute. The victim was transported to an area hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Campus police apprehended the lone suspect at the scene, and he is in police custody. There was no further threat to the campus community. UC Irvine Police Department and Irvine Police Department are jointly investigating the shooting. |
