The conference is co-sponsored by UCI's Office of Research, UC Multi-Campus Research Program in World History, Center for Asian Studies, and departments of sociology and political science, as well as the American Council of Learned Societies. Discussion topics will include the Tiananmen Square demonstrations in China and the end of communism in the former Soviet Union and Eastern Europe. |
