Summer arts academy for high school students debuts June 27 ยป

Dance
On June 27, the Claire Trevor School of the Arts will launch its Summer Academy in the Arts for teens finishing grades 8 to 12. Through July 8, students will participate in intensive, hands-on workshops in dance, drama or digital arts led by faculty and graduate students. Courses within each "major" include ballet, modern dance and jazz dance; acting for the stage, improv and musical theater; and desktop applications, digital video and audio production for the Web, narrative shot structure and social networking issues. Enrollment is limited; a 10 percent discount applies to children of UCI faculty and staff. For further information, visit the academy's website or call 949-824-7513.
