UCI will ring in new tradition this week »

A new set of campus bells - a gift from the class of 2010 - will ring out Thursday, May 5, at UCI's Student Center Bell Tower, on the corner of West Peltason and Pereira drives. The inaugural bell-ringing ceremony and celebration will begin at 9:45 a.m. and include free refreshments, student performances and prizes. "It's the start of a UCI tradition that will be enjoyed by generations of future Anteaters," said Thomas Parham, interim vice chancellor for student affairs.
