Young scientists dedicated to uncovering the causes of diseases like Alzheimer's and Parkinson's will be the focus of the second Research & Education in Memory Impairments & Neurological Disorders symposium, on Thursday, Feb. 10, in the UCI Student Center's Emerald Bay. The all-day event will feature graduate students and postdoctoral researchers affiliated with the UCI MIND Institute discussing their groundbreaking work. The keynote speaker is the Salk Institute's Fred Gage, one of the world's most-honored neuroscientists. His talk begins at 4 p.m. ReMIND was created to promote education, community outreach and collaboration in the field of neurodegenerative diseases.
